Castillo fuerte es nuestro Dios

Castillo fuerte es nuestro Dios,
Defensa y buen escudo;
Con su poder nos librará
En este trance agudo.
Con furia y con afán
Acósanos Satán:
Por armas deja ver
Astucia y gran poder:
Cual él no hay en la tierra.

Nuestro valor es nada aquí,
Con él todo es perdido,
Mas por nosotros pugnará
De Dios el Escogido.
¿Sabéis quién es? Jesús,
El que venció en Ja cruz,
Señor de Sabaoth;
Y, pues, El sólo es Dios,
El triunfa en la batalla.

Aun si están demonios mil
Prontos a devorarnos,
No temeremos, porque Dios
Sabrá aún prosperarnos.
Que muestre su vigor
Satán y su furor
Dañarnos no podrá;
Pues condenado es ya
Por la Palabra santa.

Sin destruirla dejarán,
Aun mal de su agrado,
Esta palabra del Señor;
El lucha a nuestro lado.
Que lleven con furor
Los bienes, vida, honor,
Los hijos, la mujer...
Todo ha de perecer...
De Dios el reino queda

Déu és l'auxili. Un ferm castell

Déu és l'auxili. Un ferm castell,
el gran refugi nostre.
Res no temem al costat d'Ell;
Si Déu és amb nosaltres!
Ja poden bramular
les ones de la mar.
No pot pas trontollar
el nostre cor humà:
Si Déu és amb nosaltres!

Invoco Déu com el penyal,
escut i ciutadella,
el qui ens deslliura de tot mal;
Si Déu és amb nosaltres!
El Crist, el Salvador,
Jesús és I'estimat,
l'humil, el Redemptor
el qui pren el pecat
del món, de tots nosaltres.

L'Omnipotent ens salvarà
al llarg de tots els segles!
Arreu del món hem de contar:
El Crist és amb nosaltres!
Es fa miques el món...
De l'avenç més pregon
el príncep ha vingut.
Que n'és de gran l'ajut,
sí Déu és amb nosaltres!

Ein' feste Burg ist unser Gott

Ein' feste Burg ist unser Gott,
Ein gute Wehr und Waffen;
Er hilft uns frei aus aller Not,
Die uns jetzt hat betroffen.
Der alt' böse Feind,
Mit Ernst er's jetzt meint,
Gross' Macht und viel List
Sein' grausam' Ruestung ist,
Auf Erd' ist nicht seingleichen.

Mit unsrer Macht is nichts getan,
Wir sind gar bald verloren;

Und kein'n Dank dazu haben;
Er ist bei uns wohl auf dem Plan
Mit seinem Geist und Gaben.
Nehmen sie den Leib,
Gut, Ehr', Kind und Weib:
Lass fahren dahin,
Sie haben's kein'n Gewinn,
Das Reich muss uns doch bleiben.

A mighty fortress is our God

A mighty fortress is our God, a bulwark never failing;
Our helper He, amid the flood of mortal ills prevailing:
For still our ancient foe doth seek to work us woe;
His craft and power are great, and, armed with cruel hate,
On earth is not his equal.

Did we in our strength confide, our striving would be losing;
Were not the right Man on our side, the Man of God's own choosing:
Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He;
Lord Sabaoth, His Name, from age to age the same,
And He must win the battle.

And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us:
The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure,
One little word shall fell him.

That word above all earthly powers, no thanks to them, abideth;
The Spirit and the gifts are ours through Him Who with us sideth:
Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also;
The body they may kill: God's truth abideth still,
His kingdom is forever.
